Do You Use Windows?

Uncategorized Mar 07, 2020

At first glance of this title you, like many others who consider yourselves to be a mite techno savvy may have, without delay mined from your mental files the distinction between Microsoft and other OS’s. Personally, I’m an Apple guy and not only as a result of Eve’s choice, but primarily because of the way my brain is wired.

This is the place where my wife would insert, “Microsoft is for people that work for a living.”

We often go back and forth, round and round contending and maintaining our ground on why our choice of platforms is superior.

I tend to be righter brained and Amy is in all probability as left brained as one can be.

At the end of the day we are in typically agreement that each offers their users the right ingredients to execute and realize the task at hand resulting in a good night’s sleep.

You may be surprised to learn that I am not referring to just any operating system, but to [the] “mother of all operating systems”!

The Human mind, that’s right.

The mind is the set of cognitive faculties including consciousness, imagination, perception, thinking, judgement, language and memory, which is housed in the brain (sometimes including the central nervous system). It is usually defined as the faculty of an entity's thoughts and consciousness. Wikipedia

Before I dive too deep into the cyber rabbit hole, I’ll drop her in reverse and back out quickly in an effort to paint the original picture intended.

Each day for over the past few years I have a particular set of tasks coupled with a particular group of tools that I have conscientiously attained that have literally transformed my brain. Consequently, giving birth to a baby that I named “re:Set”. Without going into great detail, it is a system, per se that I am developing that has become a catalyst in assisting people in getting unstuck and back on track in life.

There are about seven exercises, if you will, that I go through every day. I am very fond of them and they each have their own unique purpose in the broader spectrum.

One in particular is “visualization”. You may have heard of this and may have even formed your own opinions about it. Whether positive or negative is not the point here.   I will go ahead and validate both. I have always been a very, very visual individual.

I love to create imagery in my mind and have and continue to increase my knowledge and understanding specifically with regards to the law of attraction. I am a firm believer and the more that I become aware of who I really am, the greater my attraction to this law, the practice of, rewards and the sheer enjoyment of truly witnessing and experiencing its fruit in my life.

Windows are especially striking to me. I am referring to the type and shape, the material it is comprised of, the type of glass, but mostly what I am able to observe when peering through, out into the distance.

You’ve probably heard it said, that “the eyes are the windows to the soul”. That being said means to me that we possess the ability to see into someone’s soul and simultaneously through the use of our imagination create any panorama that we desire as we look from the soul out through these same “windows”.

I am truly fascinated by what I am able to fabricate in my mind’s eye. The more that I learn about the power of intention and the law of attraction, the more I am witnessing and experiencing that which I first imagined.

For many years as a young believer, I omitted or wrote off the use of my imagination because I was told that it was not for believers. Apparently, the use of our God given imagination was reserved only for new agers or maybe just for a select few that chose to and were not actually even aware of any spiritual ties, but just understood that their imagination was more than just images that the mind could conjure up.

I do believe that we need to employ wisdom and accurately understand what we are utilizing our minds to imagine and not get off into “terra incognita”.  The book of Deuteronomy, as well as other books in the bible are filled with clear instructions that I correlate and interpret to be the right combination of ingredients, necessary to manifest things in our life. If it were not so, then I do not believe that we would have been warned to stay away from particular aspects of these practices.

On my quest I am seeking wisdom and understanding daily. God has been so gracious to keep my wheels on the rails. I am convinced that when we approach anything with proper fear of the Lord that he will guide and protect us. Humans are inquisitive and desire to unearth and discover new things. He created us that way and the playing fields are unlimited.

The gift of imagination is one that is paramount to me. As an aspiring writer, co-creator and architect of my lifeit has  become a treasured tool that I utilize daily to form and shape my world.

The potential of the human mind keeps me awake many nights in a deep contemplative state.   Perhaps like you, I too long and yearn to operate at optimum levels of awareness, the way that we were originally created.

As friends of Jesus we possess his mind resulting in a deep innate desire coupled with the ability to do the works that He did and even greater.

Let’s just always be sure to trust the sometimes ever so gentle tugging on our spirits, obey and resist the urge to go any further, trusting our knowledge, intelligence, emotions and ideas that there is more benefit on the highway we are on, instead of  merging onto the freeway of freedom in Christ.
